Purchase: Paid $160 at jeffersequine.com. Bought in hopes that it would help our slightly swayback appaloosa gelding who has mutten withers & slopes deeply behind the withers.
Likes: No slip. Has great padding along the area where saddle tree sits. Fills in the space behind withers (on our gelding) with cushion.
Dislikes: padding is not as thick as i thought it would be. no support other than thin top line. VERY lightweight.
Quality: good cushion along back (top sides only). underside is soft neoprene type material-non slip.
Summary: This pad can't be used alone - way too thin. If you buy it plan on buying top pad such as mayatex or similar. However it's worth it for providing support in those slopey back/wither areas. Don't recommend for high withers!
