Purchase: This is Trumbull Mtn's AP/Endurance saddle that is made by Black Country.
Mine - bought new - $2750. I bought one with serge panels.
Likes: OUTSTANDING manufacturing, high quality leather, very close contact, spring tree.
This is a mono-flap design saddle, with high thigh blocks and serge panels. The flocking is VERY soft, and the monoflap and serge make the saddle lighter than normal.
This saddle is built on a 'hoop tree' for broad-withered horses, and really sits down around my horse.
The flaps are cut straight enough for dressage, and the block is in the right place to be able to get your stirrups short for speed (or in my case, to get my stirrups short enough to get leg on my ROUND horse without putting my knee up on the block).
Dislikes: The seat is wide, due to the fact that the tree is so wide. My seatbones ended up on the seat seam. A seat pad solved this issue nicely.
Quality: Outstanding construction, and LUSCIOUS schrumph leather. The leather is soft enough to mold around the horse immediately.
Summary: This is a GREAT saddle, and a good fit for my saddle-fitting-nightmare of a horse.
My husband liked mine so much that we are currently trialing a used one in a larger seat size for him!
