Purchase: I decided I wanted a new saddle because my old saddle, a St. Lourdes contraption sucked so that is why I wanted a new one! I acquired this saddle used at a local tack shop for $1000, pretty good for a Beval! I do not know how much this saddle was used or how old it is.
Likes: I liked well basically everything! I liked the buttery soft broken in leather because it was a used saddle. I liked the very non restricting flat equitation seat it had. It doesn't feel hard to me although others might complain. The smaller thin knee rolls allowed proper leg position. It is just an overall lovely saddle and fits my horse well. The Devon is defiantly an equitation saddle though!
Dislikes: Um try nothing...
Quality: Very well quality everything! Smooth french leather, if you scratch it oiling it takes care of the scratch. Very well constructed no loose threads or cracked leather.
Summary: Wonderful saddle for hunters or eq, wouldn't recommend for someone who just needs a saddle to take onto trails or anything. But if your competitive and you ride hunters or equitation buy this saddle!
