Purchase: I got these leathers for $70 on sale in the Dover catalogs. I had just bought the saddle and needed the leathers to match.
Likes: I LOVE these leathers!!! The softened up so quickly it was amazing. They even softened up quicker then the actual saddle. Every time someone looks/rides in my saddle they always comment on how soft the leathers are.
Dislikes: Nothing really, although I do have to say that those oiling these leathers need to be careful, because they take to oil so well they darken a lot. I just use the non darkening oil on them so they stay the same color as my saddle.
Quality: VERY GOOD QUALITY!!! When I first purchased the leathers I, even just upon taking them out of the box, noticed how soft and supple they were. I even thought to myself for a second, wow Dover even oils tack for me. The stitching is very durable and after having them for a year and a half and riding in them 7 days a week, more then an hour everyday, they have not come apart or damaged in any way. Although like any leather that gets oiled the stitching turned brown instead of the white that it came like.
Summary: Bottom Line, I would recommend these leathers to anyone. Even those without the circuit saddle. I have had Pessoa, HDR, Courbette, and bates leathers before, and never had I had leathers as soft as these.
