Purchase: I won a bucket of these treats at a local show last year. My horse liked them so much that I went out and bought another bucket after she finished off the first one. I paid around $7.00 for a 2 pound bucket (which holds 15 pieces) from Victoria Feeds - The Horse & Hound in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada.
Likes: Living in Canada, I like that these treats are Canadian made. They're similar to Stud Muffin treats, but I find the Barnies treats to be fresher, chewier and come in either Watermelon or Classic flavors.
My horse loves them, and went through her entire repertoire of tricks to find the one that would "unlock" my hand and dispense the treat! She liked the Watermelon flavor as much as the Original.
These treats smell great, and the containers come in various sizes (currently 1 litre, 2.5 litre, 5 litre and 8 litre).
Dislikes: Nothing yet.
Quality: The 1 litre, 2.5 litre and 5 litre treats come in clear resealable buckets. The 8 litre treats come in a large opaque tub. You can order treats directly from the website (if you're in Canada), and shipping is quick.
Summary: These are the freshest horse treats I've ever gotten - unless I bake some myself. Their quality is excellent and even though they're not sold in all of the tack stores I go to yet (they're a relatively new company), I specifically wait until I'm at a tack store that carries them to pick them up (I don't settle for another brand).
