Purchase: My Wife bought a pair and likes them so much she convinced me to try them. I went to an area saddle shop where I discovered a couple of different styles of crooked stirrups that turned out to be rip-offs imported from Mexico..for very close to the same price. Wondering about the Mexico stamp on them I called the owner of Crooked Stirrups and talked to the fellow who designed them and obtained the patent.
I ordered my pair right from the manufacturer, Crooked Stirrups. I paid regular retail price for them $149..
Likes: I have a hip that occasionally flares up and a knee that acts up too. I was only able to go about an hour without having to get off and walk. Once I started using my Crooked Stirrups I now am able to ride for much longer and when I do need to stretch my legs I can get back on and keep going with much less pain than previously. I do a lot of trail riding in some challenging country. These stirrups are worth every cent I gave for them.
Dislikes: Nothing I don't like, Well made and comfortable.
Quality: Well constructed, Good solid weight of aluminum. Not overly heavy, hang well and easy to keep feet in too.
Summary: Great product, Glad I didn't buy a copy.
Nice to see good new ideas that actually are better than the old! I recommend these to anyone! If you've EVER had sore hips, knees or ankles after riding with your regular stirrups, these will make you smile!
