Purchase: I found the product as a result of chit chat on a horse website and checked out the site - www.bossysbibs.com. They are in England but have someone here that handles orders. A couple of emails later, we determined the size and it was done. She was very prompt and I had the bib in a matter of a few days. It was $50.
Likes: For the first time EVER my horse doesn't have any rubs. Within a few days of switching her from the lycra type guard I could see the open sores were starting to heal up. Within 10 days I was getting hair growing back. This thing is amazing and I still don't believe it but no marks anywhere from the horses stable blanket or turnout!
Dislikes: So far there isn't anything I don't like about it. Initially I might have said the price, but it's saving me in wound spray and gauze pads too plus I don't have any place I'm causing my horse discomfort or pain.
Quality: The Bossy's Bib is made from a very neat light weight material that just glides on the horses body. So as he moves it moves and doesn't rub. When it needs to be washed I just throw it in the machine and hang it to dry and back on it goes. I was told it wouldn't pill up and so far it looks as good as the day I got it. At times when he may have a bit of dirt that transferred onto the bib, I just a dunk in water and a quick scrub with a soft brush cleans it up until it needs washing. It dries very quickly so I can do that at the barn.
Summary: A huge thumbs up for this product. I have a tack box full of stretchy this and guard that and they do nothing and sometimes make the rubs worse. My blankets fit but they rub in spots. Then it gets worse and it's a vicious circle. No more with the Bossy's Bib. I am so impressed and thankful that when I start showing in the spring, that I won't have to be trying to hide those big rub spots because there just aren't any!
