Purchase: I got a sample sized package of these from an equine convention. I'm not exactly sure how much the usual price is for them since my local tack store doesn't have them yet.
These are said to be, by Bickmore, the first equine grooming wipe on the market.
Likes: I like that these are fragrance free, and there's no oily residue left after I use them.
I brought these to a show with me and stuck them in my ring-side box for just before I enter my classes. They're great to remove that lovely green goo we call horse goober. They're also safe to use around the horses eyes.
This isn't listed in the Uses section of their website, but in a pinch, I also used one to clean the dust from my boots before entering the ring. It didn't seem to harm the leather at all, though it's not something I would do frequently.
Dislikes: It's not about the unit, but about my local tack store. I know they carry the wipes by Weaver, but I haven't seen these yet. I'm happy enough with the Bickmore wipe sample that I'll see if our local tack store can get the product range in.
Quality: Specially formulated for a horses coat and skin. Created to remove dirt, grime, sweat and lather. These wipes come in 3 sizes according to the company website (75 count, 50 count and 12 count - a trail pack - as well as a 50 count refill).
Summary: Bickmore also makes MacWipe Body Wash, an "Intro Pack" (a variety of Mac Wipe towel packs) and the MacWipe Sheath Cleaning Kit, as well as several other horse related products.
I'd be interested in trying more products from their line, as our local tack store gets them in.
