I found this saddle online at used saddles dot com, having been ridden in twice and oiled once. It was near-new when I got it, and I paid $2495 (a deal if you shop around)
Likes: What is not to like??? The leather is soft and supple from day one, and the higher-placed knee blocks and rear blocks literally PLANT your leg in the right position. It is the most balanced saddle I have ever ridden in. I can't believe I ever rode in anything else!!
The seat is medium-deep for security before and over fences.
Before it was oiled, it was a caramel color, but now it is a darker Havana color and I get tons of compliments on it.
It fits my medium build TB well, without any additional half-pads or wither pads.
Dislikes: At this point, there isn't much I don't like about the saddle. If anything, the soft leather is easily scratched and I now keep my saddle in it's zippered cover at all times when not in use.
Quality: Soft French leather, quality stitching, solid construction!
Summary: If you can save your $$ and buy this higher-end saddle, it will last FOREVER and you will be pleased with it just as long...
