Purchase: I bought these treats from my local tack store. I had heard these were nice because you can give your horses their daily supplements in a treat form. I paid $32.99 for the 60 day supply. They also sell them in a 30 day supply for around $20.
Likes: I liked the idea that these were in a moist treat form. They come in 2 different varieties...The Flex wafer and the Bio+ Wafer. They come in an air tight baggy, and are not broken at all. It's nice not o have to have the mess of all the bags of supplements in the feed room.
Dislikes: I loved all the ingredients in these treats, and they were a good alternative to mixing supplements...but one big problem...my horses WOULD NOT even touch them! They thought they were horribly disgusting! I even broke them up into tiny fragments(which is awfully difficult to do b/c they are so moist). My horses would eat them then, but then I had to still mix them into grain, so in the long run I wasn't saving any effort, time, or money!
Quality: The Bio+ treats have biotin in them and are a good all around supplement, and also great for their hooves, and coat. The original flex wafers have awesome ingredients for your horses muscles, ligaments, bones..etc. The treats are made with oats, and molasses.
Summary: A lot of my friend's have bought these treats and their horses have loved them. I have also heard of other horses who hate them. So I would recommend buying the 30 day supply first, and seeing what your horses think. Overall, these treats are a great alternative to supplementation, and the ingredients are the highest quality!
