Purchase: I bought these "no name" pads from Big Dee's Tack (www.bigdweb.com) and paid $20 each. I bought a pony sized one for DD and an AP one to go with my AP saddle.
Likes: They are quite thick and fleecy. I'm sure my horse loved the cushion on her back.
Dislikes: EVERYTHING ELSE! The saddle pads are terribly sized. I ended up buying another to fit under my daughter's 15" Crosby and using her pony sized one myself for a few shows until it was replaced, too. The "regular" sized one is huge - I've never seen a saddle that would be that big! It stuck out at least 3" all around my saddle - more in some places. It was not at all a good look for a show pad. Now, they are both in the everyday training pile at the barn.
Quality: I didn't use them long enough to see how they would wear. The few classes I used one for it held up, but I don't how long it would've lasted. The fleece was quite thick (almost felt padded) so I had to use a longer girth than for schooling (I normally ride with a square quilted pad and half-pad at home).
Summary: If you (or your trainer!) are picky about how your tack looks, these are not for you. They might be good for a VERY small (winter circuit type) shows or working at home, but these are not going to cut it anywhere else - at least under our saddles.
