Purchase: I bought this saddle for $875 from Fletchers Tack in Webster Florida. A great deal! It was a Christman gift from my husband. I was badly injured by my mare a few months ago. I didn't feel comfortable in my Circle Y anymore. I looked into the Bob Marshall but sitting so deep in the treeless hurts my hips because of the accident. The Flex tree has that bit of give I wanted but sits me up high enough not to stress my hips and low back.
Likes: Even though it says it has a 4 inch cantle, it is very secure feeling. I love it! I ride my Friesian mare with it, as well as my 14 hand QH. The flex tree is fantastic. No dry spots on either horse. The tooling is awesome too. Very few mistakes. All in all I recommend this for someone who can't ride in a treeless but want some give from the tree.
Dislikes: The rough out suede is hard to keep clean but that's not the saddles fault.
Quality: Fantastic quality. I do leather work and have found very few tooling errors in the feather racers. Unlike the Bob Marshall that looks like it was tooled by a blind man with Parkinson's. I can say this because I have seen many of them at the races. I love my Billy Cook Flex Feather Racer! :-)
