Purchase: I tried this saddle from dover and i liked it so I bought it. It was on closeout for $800
Likes: I really love this saddle. It has the thigh and calf blocks that help your leg. I feel like my position over fences has greatly improved because of this saddle. It is very comfortable with a narrow twist and just enough cushion in the seat. It seems to fit a lot of different horses. It helps you out whether you need to sit down and collect or get up in two point and really lengthen. The leather is fantastic and it was broken in after 2 oilings and about 5 rides....its just great and i don't have enough great things to say about it.
My trainer says it feels just like a jaguar she rode in and people say it looks like a butet. Its a $3000 saddle with a $800 price tag! what more could you want???
oh it also came with a very nice saddle cover!
Dislikes: I don't like that it has foam panels...but as long as it fits your horse it shouldn't be a problem...
I also think it runs a little small. I'm normally a 17" seat and this saddle is a little snug. I need a 17.5" but they didn't have it on closeout but the 17 works fine. I have an average thigh but the flap is just a tad short...nothing that affects me at all
Oh, the billet guard thing is kind of thick and bulky under your leg but i just took it off and got thinner ones
Quality: Its just amazing and I think it will last me forever! the leather is butter soft and the stitching seems to be great!
Summary: This saddle is great. Everyone who rides in it thinks its much more expensive...I would recommend it to ANYONE!
