Purchase: I bought this blanket somewhere online (don't remember) in the spring of '06 on super sale for like $165.
Likes: I have had this blanket on my horse for about 5 months altogether now and she is rough on it! There is one small place near the shoulder that is snagged but not all the way through. I think it has held up well and keeps my horse very warm and dry. I like the way you can snap the blanket in the front instead of messing with buckles. The belly protection is also nice.
Dislikes: One of the front metal snaps has already broken. Hmm. Not happy about that. Also, it kind of bunches up on my small boned QH's withers and hangs down quite low. I have done the belly guard so that she won't get her legs caught in it when she is getting up and down and it looks kind of silly because the rest of it looks so baggy. It has rubbed her shoulders slightly but not too bad.
Quality: Good ripstop quality. Warm. Hardware not so good. Fit is awkward but every horse is different. It might be better suited to a fuller horse.
Summary: Personally, I think this blanket is a little overpriced. If you can get a good deal on it in the spring like I did, it would be better.
