Purchase: I bought these boots for $400 or so for showing. I planned to ride daily in half chaps and use the boots for clinics and shows.
Likes: I thought the boots looked beautiful in the picture...that is it!
Dislikes: They are fully-lined but with paper-thin leather that doesn't feel like lining. They are terribly uncomfortable in the ankle. The padding in the ankle does nothing to keep the bruising and rubs from occurring, even three years later. The sole is very weak, thin and offers no support. It would hurt to stand in them most of the day. The metal on the edge of the heel is extremely annoying. I sound like a drill instructor as I walk through the barn. That same heel is slippery.
I expected much more boot for the price. I was very disappointed as I think some other shelf boots at a better price would have been far more comfortable and wold have felt better through the leg.
Quality: Looks pretty in a picture, but construction and quality doesn't match the price. There is no padding in the footbed. It is very hard. The elastic laces offer no strength to the front of the boot. They allow the ankle to buckle oddly in the front.
The boot has not come apart at all, but they may be because I can barely stand to wear them!
Summary: I would NOT recommend this boot to someone and I certainly would not buy another pair.
