Purchase: I got this from A&H up near out barn for $30?
All I know it that is black, inexpensive and wintec. Haha, all those things appealed to me.
Likes: I love how easy it is to clean. I have a horse that sheds into May (big furry draft cross) and so there is hair constantly stuck to it. I hose both him and the girth down and they both come out clean (until D'artagnan rolls in the dirt, hahaha)
I was used to having elastic on one side, but having it more in the middle or however it is situated is wonderful, I don't have to worry about it pinching my boy. (Which happens a lot, who knows why)
Dislikes: he only bad things is that in the winter, I can't use it because my horse gets too furry and it doesn't fit! But that is my fault, I could have gone another step bigger.
My only true complaint is that it can be hard to cinch up. Without the elastic right there it takes a bit more oomph to get buckled.
Quality: The quality is wonderful. Truthfully, I rarely ride with a saddle (bad, bad Julia...) so this thing gets shoved in the garage, under other saddles in the tack room and has once been a chew toy for a dog up at the barn... And yet it has held up.
Whenever I ride it just takes a bit of time to stop creaking, but I have noticed that it is from lack of use an it being a bit stiff.
Wonderfully made.
Summary: I love this. Easy to clean, well made, and durable to all the abuse I put it through.
I would definitely recommend this if you want a synthetic o inexpensive girth. I believe it comes in brown too...
