Purchase: I purchased this on E bay, and paid $3000 without shipping. I bought it from Mahtowa Meadows Saddlery. I did get a free thin line pad with it. It was used, and had, as advertised a spur mark on the pommel. I was very satisfied with both the description and service wrt purchasing the saddle.
Likes: I very much like the fit of the saddle, it is comfortable both for me and my horse. The tree design allows remarkable shoulder freedom. Its cut back design leaves lots of room for the withers, and my horse moves more freely in it than any other saddle i have tried. I also like the fit for myself, it helps me keep my leg in the most neutral and correct position, and easily allows me to maintain a balanced seat. I also like that it is adjustable for the fit of my horse.
Dislikes: I have to admit It was a stretch to pay that much for a used saddle, but i do now feel that it was worth the investment.
Quality: Despite having seen much use, the quality is still very good. The leather is supple and strong, the flocking is still good, and so are the billets. In fact it receives much use at my hands, and has maintained full integrity of quality.
Summary: I do, and have recommended this saddle to friends, and everyone who has bought one, has liked it. I suppose you have to pay for quality!
