Purchase: Purchased it used for $600 in 2007.
Likes: The saddle is in great shape and the workmanship is high quality! It looks "retro" and it is very cool looking. It does sit me nice and the horse seems comfortable in it.
Dislikes: The weight. It seems much heavier than any other saddle I have purchased. I have purchased new barrel saddles since 1999 - approximately 6 of them, and the new ones are all much lighter, but the construction, attention to detail, and quality of the "sit" is much nicer in the Camarillo.
Quality: Well built; the cantle is wider and there is a dip that you sit in. It feels comfortable and secure around the turns.
Summary: The weight of the older saddle I have is a deal breaker for me. I ride smaller horses and need something lighter.
