Model: Grand Gilbert & PSL
Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: I bought my first Passier from Buck's Saddlery for $850. This saddle is used but in perfect condition. It is very comfortable and fits the horse and myself perfect. The leather is so soft and supple and the saddle puts the rider in a very correct position. Liked this saddle so much i bought a used Passier Grand Gilbert on ebay for $1,200. Like this one even better.
Likes: The leather is so soft and supple; puts rider in correct position and is very comfortable to sit in
Dislikes: The 1 thing would be that i have very short legs and the flaps on both my Passier's are 19" long
Quality: Quality is great on both my saddles; both being used there was not a sign of wear or stitches coming out; the leather is very soft and butter like.
Summary: I would only buy Passier as these saddles seem to make riders happy and tend to fit most horses quite well. Many riders at my barn ride in Passier saddles.
