Model: Isabell with CAIR
Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: I purchased this saddle new in Canada for $1300 Canadian. The reason I chose the Wintec was because of the interchangeable gullet system, I believed it could accomodate my growing horse.
Likes: The saddle was very comfortable for myself and easy to care for. The equisuede helped you to 'stick' in the saddle, especially when sitting the trot.
Dislikes: My horse developed into a wide, so I changed the gullet. Only the front of the saddle was widened, the saddle rocked badly because it did not fit front to back. This caused him to have a very sore back and he was very unhappy.
Quality: The quality of the saddle is good, and it's very easy to look after - you can just hose it off.
Summary: Widening the gullet of the saddle, does not necessarily widen the tree. This saddle could possibly fit a horse with a curved back, but not a horse with a flatter more level back.
Usefulness Rating: 1 out of 5.
