Purchase: I got these at a Chinese auction at a barn party. I got 2 boxes, the prices were supposed to be under $10, they must have been $4-$5 I guess. I loved the carrot and apple shapes.
Likes: The ingredients, molasses was the only really sugary part but other wise they were very healthy, especially for fatter equines. My horses gobbled them up right away, my friend's mini even opened the bucket where they were kept and ate the remaining cookies. Every time I went to get my horse he would nicker then start whinnying when I came close to him. It must have been the cookies because I gave him other cookies one day and he didn't touch them, he sniffed me all over looking for the good stuff. Even the dogs were interested in them, since they tore the boxes apart when they were in the garbage, they had to get the ones I missed and crumbs I suppose.
Dislikes: I thought the carrot shapes were a little pointy, could get lodged in a horses' throat if they didn't chew carefully. Also they were a little hard, crunchy. I wouldn't feed them to horses with teeth or chewing problems just to be safe. Nothing else was bad.
Quality: They came in a plastic bag in a box. The only problem was that you couldn't seal them for freshness so they needed to be consumed quickly.
Summary: Great, I would recommend them to anyone whose horse loves cookies. A reward for coming to you from the gate or just a simple snack. Beware of the hardness of them though, you don't want your horse to hurt their teeth because of a cookie. :)
