Model: Reining-All Purpose
Category: Reining Saddles
Purchase: I bought at a tack sale for $1150. I have a Circle Y which I love, but my horse outgrew, so had to buy something to fit.
Likes: I like the gel seat, and that it does fit my wide horse.
Dislikes: I have had it for a while, leather is still stiff, and squeaks. Has lots of rubbing on it from normal riding. It's very heavy, and bulky. I've had it over a year, and cleaned it many times, and dye is still coming off of it. Very cheap leather was used. My Circle Y's leather is extremely soft, and has no rubs marks, and I have had for longer.
Quality: It is solidly built, but very cheap leather was used.
Summary: I would not buy from Crates ever again. I am not sure if the quality is so poor because they were bought out by Reinsman, but it was a complete waste of money. Only bought because I was told it was a good brand, but I feel completely ripped off.
