Likes: It's leather.
Dislikes: Cheaply made in India. Tree was crooked: it was straight in front but the back part was angled to the right. I sent them photos, and they agreed that it was a little off center. I sent it back to them for adjustment, and they said that they re-aligned it, but they didn't. Leather was mediocre.
Quality: Poor. Being that it was crooked, I took the saddle apart and was really disappointed to see that it was made out of cheap wood. Staples and small metal clips put together in a haphazard way were holding the tree together. The leather quality was okay but not great. Hubby cut off the flaps and made knife scabbards out of it, so all was not lost.
Summary: I did some research on the web and found that DownUnder pays about 1/3 the price for the saddles made in India, maybe even less with a quantity discount. DownUnder sells through retailers, including Jeffers and some eBay sellers, so if it says Kimberley, think twice. The concept of Australian saddles is great; it's just that saddles like this demonstrate poor execution.
