Likes: Like the fact that it has stainless steel hardware and ties at the bit ends.
Dislikes: This headstall is advertised as horse size but it is cob or Arabian size instead (I measured it against an Arabian Western headstall I have, and the Arabian one was actually longer). This headstall is way smaller than Reinsman used to make even just a few years ago. I compared it to a friend's older headstall, and his was a good 4 inches longer than mine.
Quality: The leather is good quality, and the headstall is well made.
Summary: I was very disappointed that the headstall was so short as to be unusable on many of my horses. In contacting both Jeffers and Reinsman, they sounded very concerned and helpful, but it turned out to be "customer no service" after all. Reinsman at first offered to do a "special order" to make me a normal horse size headstall, but then later said they were too far behind to be able to do that. If they are going to cut corners and make Arabian size headstalls, they need to be marketed that way. Stay away unless you have a very short headed horse.
