Purchase: I purchased this saddle directly from the SMM website for $1600.00 and paid and additional $120.00 for the sheep skin underside. I have been searching the net for a few months looking for a good roper to replace my old Billy Cook wade and settled on this one.
Likes: Well just about everything is perfect about this saddle. The leather quality is excellent, and the saddle fits me and my horse Gilbert like a glove. I have owned both a circle Y Mesa Wade roper saddle and a Billy cook Teton Valley wade and this saddle I found was superior to both in Quality and fit. Also it cost me less then the other 2 as well, so I was very please. Think I might have one made for my wife in a 14" if they'll do it for me.
Dislikes: Really can't think of nothing off the top of my head.
Quality: We'll like I said it is a real nice saddle, well made, and just a real great saddle. The leathers thick, the hardware is heavy duty and the best part it is all made here in America!! It takes about 6 weeks to receive the saddle once I ordered and paid for the saddle, but it was well worth every penny I paid!
Summary: If your thinking of buying a Billy or a Circle Y you might want to check out these guys first as the quality is top notch. Some of there other styles look a little to wild for me and on the ugly side, but as far as wades go this saddle is the best!
