Category: Show Saddles
Purchase: I purchased this saddle new from an authorized Tex Tan dealer and paid $3000
Likes: Comfortable to ride, pretty to look at
Dislikes: Less than 10 rides in it and it's literally falling apart! Two of the bolts that hold it together have come out...tried to contact both Tex Tan and the dealer to see what to do about repair...after all they are sold with warranty...neither would respond to me. Took it to a local saddle shop for repair where I was shown how the saddle is literally put together with large staples...Saddle is pretty to look at but a piece of crap...very poor quality silver and workmanship is terrible. You'd think you could get some sort of quality for $3000!
Quality: held together with cheap bolts that bend easily and large staples...I'll be lucky if I get two years out of this saddle.
Summary: Stay away. Buy an older model blue ribbon, Chavez or billy cook...
Usefulness Rating: 3.45 out of 5.
