Purchase: I've had trouble finding a saddle that fits my foxtrotter. I've heard mule saddles can work well on gaited horses and there's a mule trainer who has saddles, named Steve Edwards, located in Queen Valley,AZ
Likes: I've ridden in it once and it doesn't move around on my horse's back as did the Dixieland Saddle I had been using.
Dislikes: Too soon to tell, however the money end in dealing with Steve was the most unpleasant of my life. It put in writing the saddle was $750.00 and that it included the breast collar. I was billed $790.00 which he explained as a price increase he didn't know about. Then he billed me $115.00 for the breast collar. He did later honor his 1st price on the breast collar after I told him to cancel the order; but then charged me $85.00 for a hackamore listed on his website for $65.00 and didn't apologise or reverse that.
Quality: It's leather and cordura. Time will tell if it really holds up.
Summary: I won't do business with Steve Edwards of Mule Ranch again. Buyer beware, for anyone who chooses to proceed after hearing my story.
