Purchase: I bought this saddle on ebay for $1250. It was used but barely, close to new. I needed a comfortable round skirted saddle for my short backed QH. Also I had just sold a Lynn McKenzie by Double J as it was too narrow for my horses.
Likes: Everything! It is super comfortable and fits my stocky QH great, and the round skirt doesn't interfere with his loin area. The full QH bars with a 7 inch gullet fits like it was custom made. It has a beautiful combination of basketweave and oak leaf tooling, roughout fenders, and gorgeous sunburst conchos. It's got a deep balanced seat but the cantle is not so high that you feel trapped. I have had it for a couple of years now and it is ridden a lot both by me and ny daughter, and it has held up very well.
Dislikes: Nothing!
Quality: Wonderful leather quality, nice deep hand tooling, unusual conchos, tight rawhide braiding on the horn. Everything has stayed tight and in good shape with a lot of use and minimal care!
Summary: I will keep this saddle until it is falling apart, though it shows no signs of doing that anytime soon.
