Purchase: I have a fourteen year old Morgan horse that I could not find a saddle to fit. He is swaybacked with a high withers. I tried numerous saddle pads and looked at many western saddles, but none would come close to fitting him. Always, the gullet was too low. His withers would hit the top of the gullet whenever he raised his head. I didn't have the money to buy a custom saddle or to afford most gaited horse saddles. Then, while doing an often repeated search on Ebay for a saddle to fit my horse, I finally found what I was searching for. The add for a Sycamore Creek Saddle seemed too good to be true, but it was even better than I thought! For a TA0020 Economy Saddle made to fit the measurements of my horse, it was only $330. The shipping was a mere $35.
Likes: I like everything about this saddle! It has high quality leather and fits my horse perfectly. I'm not sure if my Morgan is actually gaited, but he moves his shoulders much more freely with this saddle. Another thing I like is its extremely light weight.
Dislikes: This category is just going to stay empty!
Quality: The saddle is put together seamlessly with very neat stitches The leather is good quality and light weight. I also like all of the rings to attach saddle bags to.
Summary: If you want a nice saddle or are having trouble finding a saddle to fit your horse, Sycamore Creek Saddles is the perfect place to buy from! Tony Pritchett is very friendly and patient with all of your questions, and the saddle comes right as scheduled. My family was so impressed by my new saddle that they all wanted to get a Sycamore Creek saddle for each of their horses.
