Purchase: I purchased this girth brand new off Ebay for about $65 this last year. I was looking for a girth for my new A/P saddle, as all I had were short dressage girths.
Likes: This is an extremely well made and beautiful girth. The leather is strong and has the classy traditional look for showing. I really like that the sheepskin comes off easily (velcro) for washing, yet is snug and secure and doesn't slip at all. I also really like that both ends of the girth have super strong triple elastic and roller buckles. It makes for really even pressure, easy girthing, but doesn't seem to stretch out or lose it's shape at all.
Dislikes: The list price is nearly $200, which I would consider prohibitive.
Quality: Excellent excellent quality. Nothing about the construction that I don't like. The stitching is great, the leather is strong and beautiful, the sheepskin is high quality, elastic is strong, buckles are excellent. Just what you would expect from a Barnsby product.
Summary: If you can find one for less than the list price, buy it. If you are competing in the H/J world, you might want to buy it even at list price.
