Purchase: I bought this saddle new from dover saddlery for about $700, to originally fit my 16.1h Quarter horse. However after I sold that horse I bought a 1.3 hand big barreled TB.
Likes: I like the feel of the saddle and actually prefer it to some of the $3000+ Prestiege saddles. I is now over 3 years old and is hardly worn at all
Dislikes: My saddle was MUCH lighter in person than in the catalogue and although it has changed color somewhat, it still has retained some of its orange coloring. This saddle is also VERY HEAVY. This saddle also promote some fairly serious perching problems on my low withered horse, however on my high withered TB, it doesn't. This saddle also fits very wide and it's gullet is very shallow and sloped. It actually has caused fairly sever wither rubs on my TB. I don not suggest buying this saddle without test-riding it. This saddle also is very deep and is really hard to 'get out of' while jumping
Quality: Good solid construction. It hardly has any wear and it looks almost new.
Summary: If it fits your horse and doesn't cause any severe riding problems, the feel of it is great. If you have a "hard to fit" saddle or a low withered horse, or just like to lean forward, this most likely is not the saddle for you.
