Purchase: I received this saddle for christmas. My parents found it like new on ebay, with only light rubs from the stirrup leathers. I think they paid between 600-800 dollars for it, but I'm not sure. Mine is a smooth leather, but I know they make a buffalo print leather.
Likes: I love the seat of the saddle, it's deep but not too deep. You feel close to your horse in it. I also prefer the square cantle that mine has, but that's just my personal preference. The knee rolls are also quite large, which helps with your position. The stirrup leathers are easy to put on the bars, but there is no chance they will slip out accidentally. Also, when I was in the middle of a dressage test at a show it started pouring down rain, the leather did not leave my breeches stained black, like it did all of my friends' breeches.
Dislikes: There is nothing I dislike about it.. I just wish it would clean itself!
Quality: The construction is very nice, with tight, even stitching and nicely flocked panels, that are even. The seat is very soft.
Summary: Give an Anky a try, the quality and comfort for both the horse and the rider is exceptional. And it's not very heave compared to other dressage saddles.
