Purchase: I purchased this saddle online, in very used condition, for $260.
Likes: I love everything about this saddle. This saddle is a #3 fit, which is a medium wide, and it does a very good job of trying to fit my broad backed horse, though the fit isn't perfect (no fault of the saddle, I need to choose a wider tree for this horse). The quality is wonderful, the leather strong & supple, and though this saddle has been used heavily there isn't a stitch out of place. I'm most impressed by the comfort. Its not a heavily padded saddle, and I was concerned about the hardness of the seat, but it feels like riding on a soft cushy chair, its really wonderful. The saddle attempts to put me in the right position, but due to the less than perfect fit on my horse, I'm being pitched forward a bit. I will also add, that of all of the used saddles I've bought, this one's panels and flocking stayed in the best shape given all its years of work, though if it were a match for my horse, I'd have it reflocked anyhow.
Dislikes: I wish I'd lucked upon a wider tree, then my saddle search would be over!
Quality: Really good quality, very nice saddle, looks good and rides great even after all these years.
Summary: If I could find this saddle in a wide, I'd buy it.
