Purchase: I bought these half chaps at tackroominc.com for about $99. I wanted leather half chaps because in the past I've had suede and it has always turned green after about a year, so leather I can at least clean properly. Also just got Ariat boots and was very impressed with them, so I figured I'd give another Ariat product a try
Likes: These half chaps are very well made and feel like a second skin! They are not thick and restrictive at all, the leather is soft and giving (I'm wearing them around the house right now to stretch them out a bit... I am in between a L and XL). They are very classy looking and are very flattering to my big calves. The zipper is heavy-duty also and should hold up well.
Dislikes: nothing!
Quality: Like all my experiences with Ariat so far, these chaps appear to be very well made, with no blemishes or loose threads, etc. The leather is soft and nice quality, a strong zipper, and string stitching.
Summary: I am very glad I decided on these half chaps! very nice product, I am looking forward to wearing them when I get out to ride next!
