Model: 4 Star Event Saddle
Category: Jumping Saddles
Purchase: I got this saddle from bcsaddlery.com for $895. I was looking for a training/ show saddle to own. I was looking for my first saddle ever!
Likes: Beautiful two tone leather. Nice Design. It fits my long leg (which is incredible hard to do). Knee rolls are extremely comfortable (that part I didn't even have to break in). Extremely nice for flat work I have yet to jump in it.
Dislikes: It seems a bit hard to me but that's just because it's brand new. The billets could be a lot longer. The stirrup leathers are some times hard to get in the stirrup bars (but you can handle it with a hoof pick)
Quality: Very Nice quality. Nice stitching. Tree looks to be well constructed and supportive. The leather is very soft. Very comfortable knee rolls.
Summary: I have looked at tons of different brands of saddles from Stubbens to Dovers and I would certainly put this model toward the top of the list.
Usefulness Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
