Purchase: I purchased this halter/bridle combo w/ reins from the owner of Smith Amish Made Tack. I bought it because I thought it was an excellent value for the quality. And I did a lot of looking around before I bought this. I have seen others retail for over $100.00 not including the reins. I paid $79.95 complete with reins.
Likes: It is the best piece of tack to use when out on a trail ride any where. Its so simple to change from bridle to halter with just a simple snap. Even if you don't trail ride with it, you still have a show quality like halter you can use for whatever!!!! That's what I love about it. And its fully adjustable at the poll, nose, throat latch, bit straps, and the cheek straps. I don't have to worry about it rusting either with the stainless steel hardware!
Dislikes: So far I've not had any real dislikes about it. I have had it about a year now and its held up just wonderful. I do keep it in my tack room. It was a little stiff when I first got it but I just put some mink oil on it to soften it up.
Quality: I am just amazed at the quality of this halter/bridle combo. Being Amish handcrafted its no wonder. High quality bridle leather, all stainless steel hardware.
Summary: You just cant beat the price for this quality made tack. Of coarse this is just my personal opinion. I've heard so many good stories about the Amish made tack and really wanted to check it out for myself. So I located the nearest party that carries it. So I do know where to go now if I'm looking for more horse tack to buy. They carry only Amish made horse tack.
