Purchase: I received the headstall and breast collar as a gift about a year ago. Together they cost $180. ($100 for the breast collar, and $80 for the headstall) The matching reins, which I just received, were in the range of $30-$50. I apologize, I can't remember! All three items were purchased from Tractor Supply Co.

Likes: All three pieces are gorgeous. Just beautiful. They are very functional, don't let their pretty appearance fool you, these things are TUFF. The breast collar is lovely. I love the concho that's in the center. Unlike other tack with accents or dots, it is flexible and is not stiff. There are no loose ends, blemishes, or things poking the horse. All of the dots are in place, and have not worn. This goes for the Headstall as well. The reins have not been used yet, but are just as beautiful. The headstall is easy to take apart and clean, and cleans up NICE. The set is durable enough for everyday riding, and nice enough to turn heads at a show.

Dislikes: The cheek pieces on the headstall are a bit stiff, but the rest is supple. The breast collar tugs are held together with staples. YUCK. I would like to see screws or stitches, rather than staples. I would also like to see the rosettes' (they resemble flowers and fit under the star conchos) edges inked over. I don't like seeing the rough cut edges. The reins are VERY stiff, but only where they are stitched. Once the stitches end, they are soft and supple. They are also thin. (width wise) They are also lighter in color than the headstall and breast collar. If I were you, I'd forget the reins.

Quality: Very well made, besides the above comments. Very rich in color, supple and durable leather. (If only they'd do the same for their saddles.)

Summary: I love this tack set. It's a good investment.
