Purchase: I was riding in a Trilogy Verago 18" on a Prix St. Georges horse I was leasing and while I liked it, I had a hard time keeping my leg back and underneath me. The owners also had a 18" Debbie MacDonald and when I had a chance to try that one, my leg fell perfectly and I no longer had to struggle to keep it from sliding forward. I just loved it for what it did for my position. I called Performance Saddlery and their fitter came out to my barn to fit my horse (who was on extended stall rest) so I could have this saddle to start her back in. I bought a 17.5" W for $3700.
Likes: I feel like my seat and leg can fall exactly the way I want them too without feeling trapped or stuck. The seat is comfortable, the blocks are there but in no way interfering. The leather is fabulous, and the fitter is pretty local so it's easy to have flocking adjustments done (which is necessary particularly when it's new).
Dislikes: Nothing. I love it. (Well, the price, but what can you do.)
Quality: Great quality. Excellent leather. After 6 months, no signs of wear... it looks as good as the day it arrived.
Summary: They say it's good for a more petite rider. I'm 5'4" though my leg is reasonably long (comparatively speaking anyway) but it really works for my build. If I saw a used one for a decent price I'd buy a second one just in case! It was expensive, but it's worth it.
