Purchase: I bought this used off of ebay for $65 including a Korsteel D ring bit. It had only been used for 6 shows, and normally retails for $221 through eqtack. I bought it to show my two year old at in hand shows.
Likes: The leather! It is soft and supple, even though it is only lightly used. I can literally wrap the reins around my index finger (I tried it!). There is no cracking and no brittle leather anywhere on this bridle. This is simply all around a well made bridle.
Dislikes: I would have preferred a padded noseband for the original asking price, although I knew what I was buying when I paid for it and I don't mind no padding for the price that I paid.
Quality: This is an excellent quality piece of tack. I am in graduate school and can't afford an Edgewood bridle. This one is almost as nice and the leather and quality is amazing! It is well stitched and a beautiful piece of tack.
Summary: This is a great bridle. If buying one used, make sure that it is stamped "Bobby's English tack" and has the horse logo on it, so you know you're getting the real thing. You won't be disappointed. This is simply a wonderful quality bridle at a very affordable price, and occasionally you can find them on ebay for even less! I plan to use this as a show bridle for in hand shows, then when my boy gets older use it as an every day bridle. It's too nice to only be used for shows! I would give this a 4.75 but that isn't an option, and only because I feel like for $220 new it should have a padded noseband and browband.
