Model: KN Melodie (View all KN Melodie reviews)
Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: I tried the KN Melodie during a saddle fitting session
Likes: Really well made appearance. Soft reasonably deep seat. VG rider position/balance. I prefer the 'normal' girthing system this one has :) as opposed to the current fad of having the front and rear of the saddle pulled down onto(into) the horse.
Dislikes: Felt like there was a lump under the inner part of my thighs, near the stirrup bars. Very distracting whilst riding & had concerns I might bruise.
Quality: Appearance is TOP QUALITY. All Leather, excellent stitching. Couldn't fault it.
Summary: I purchased the Exselle TLC (Walsall Riding Saddle Company, England) in preference to this. The TLC has an almost IDENTICAL feel to the KN Melodie, and is similar in basic design(but didn't have the 'lumps' pressing into my thighs). Horse moved better under the TLC. STRONGLY suggest you consider trying out BOTH these saddles before deciding.
