Purchase: I traded my Frank Baines saddle for the Wintec at Equus Now! in Ohio. They gave me an even trade for my saddle, the full purchase price for the new Wintec was $730.

Likes: I love everything about this saddle from the moment I opened the box! It is very BLACK, the pictures in the catalogs do not do it justice. I received the 17 1/2 size seat. Believe it or not, the med/wide fit my Holsteiner mare. I put the X/W gullet in and my draft cross went in in it just fine. I am 5'9" and it fits me just beautifully. I have problems with keeping my knee on the saddle flaps in dressage saddles. I also HATE hitting the pommel OR the cantel while riding. I am centered WITHOUT restriction, and close to my horse. All so important while riding youngsters! I also have NO extra time for cleaning, so just a quick brush off with the designated 'saddle brush',and it is clean!AND..no visits from the saddle fitter to adjust every 6 months.

Dislikes: absolutely NOTHING

Quality: The construction is marvelous, the stirrup bars are recessed and short, and the webbers go on easily. The billets are very nice, and hard to tell they are not leather. I like the fact that the knee/thigh blocks are removable and changeable. This saddle is really a win/win saddle, especially for that working mother who has very limited time to ride, and doesn't need to stay up nights cleaning tack, getting panels adjusted, etc.

Summary: If you have ridden in the Isabel and find it too constricting, PLEASE try the Wintec Dressage Pro. It is a much better saddle, I think. It is an excellent saddle for the price, and pretty. It has just enough stick to it, without feeling 'stuck'.I like this saddle with regular breeches much better than a leather saddle with full seats. Also, if you are really pressed for time, you could ride in your jeans without the worry of rubbing your leather.
