Purchase: I purchased this saddle new about 10 years ago from Dressage Extensions. I believe it is now offered at $1,795.00. The staff at Dressage Extensions was wonderfully helpful in finding a saddle for my hard-to-fit horse, and let me try out several models and sizes before I selected this one in a wide tree.
Likes: I've owned and ridden in dozens of different types of saddles, and the KN Symphony remains my favorite. The soft, moderate knee rolls and medium-deep seat make it easy to find the correct position without forcing or locking you in. Because of this, I've found this saddle to be the best I've tried for Show Hack classes. It's extremely comfortable and fits most of the horses I work with quite well. It's also been quite effective in teaching students the correct seat, as it enables them to find the correct position easily without allowing them to rely too heavily on the saddle as in some deeper seated models.
Dislikes: There's actually nothing I dislike about this saddle. I only wish it were easier to find in an extra wide tree for the few horses I've had that are just too wide for this one.
Quality: I've used this saddle multiple times a day almost daily for ten years, and it still shows very little wear. There's a bit of wear under the stirrup leathers, but otherwise nothing - no loose stitching, no scratches or scuffs, no fading of the black dye. Even the billets are in excellent condition and show no signs of stretching.
Summary: I'm very impressed with what this saddle delivers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this saddle or to purchase another if (heaven forbid!) anything happened to mine.
