Purchase: I bought this saddle used from someone on tacktrader.com for $450, including shipping. I LOVE my other Wintec saddles, so naturally, I went for their jumping saddle.
Likes: This saddle has a very nicely balanced seat. I love the synthetic material for a number of reasons. First, I'm a vegan and like to use as little leather as possible. Also, it's SO easy to clean and maintain. You don't have to worry about riding in the rain or cleaning it often. Another thing I like about the saddle is the equisuede on the seat. It makes it a very "grippy" saddle that I feel very secure in. And probably my favorite feature: memory-foam knee rolls! It's like an instant custom fit. And they go back to exactly their previous shape, so multiple people can ride in this saddle.
Dislikes: My biggest issue was that the saddle just wasn't right for me personally. It wasn't that it wouldn't fit *anyone* just that it wasn't right for *me*. I couldn't find a retailer locally that had one I could even sit in, let alone demo. The saddle is a nice ride, but the flaps are too short for me and I think I could've used a bigger size. The other thing is that I'm not too sure about the CAIR panels. I think that they're too stiff. And they tend to flatten out a little, so I had to use a riser pad with this saddle for it to fit the average horse. Had it fit me, I would've had a saddler put wool flocking in the panels.
Quality: This saddle is about a year old and other than the flattening of the CAIR panels, it still looks brand new. I plan on selling it and I expect to resell it for the same amount I paid. Both the equileather and the equisuede look and feel real.
Summary: If you're interested in this saddle, find one to sit in before you buy it to make sure that it fits you. I believe this could be a truly great saddle for someone.
