Purchase: I paid $1800 dollars for this saddle at a local saddlery. We've shopped for over two years trying to fit our sport horse and Arab. We even had a custom built Stubben made and when it got to us (60 days later), it did not work either. My daughters riding coach asked if we had ever thought about a Pessoa and since my daughter does 4H as well as breed shows. We felt the Pessoa would not offer us enough in the way of being a true all purpose saddle. Boy was I wrong.
Likes: The saddle was soooooo broke in from the day we bought it. Leather is soft and supple and the color is gorgeous. This version of the gullet change system is new for Pessoa and different from saddle makers marketing similar products. It is much easier to change.
Dislikes: The only thing I'd have to complain about if you can even consider it a problem is the stirrups rub the saddle pretty badly, so we have to condition the flaps quite a bit.
Quality: Construction is superb and the quality is beyond what I had expected.
Summary: My daughter rides in this saddle 6 days a week and loves how it feels, looks and how well it fits both horses.
