Purchase: This saddle was purchased from a local tack store in November 2007 for about 1800 us dollars. It has since raised in price.
Likes: THIS IS THE MOST COMFY SADDLE EVER. I got it to replace my old classic pessoa that was at least 12 years old. It broke in wonderfully. The color is great, and matches almost any type of tack a pair with it. It fits both my old, high withered mare, and my new young gelding wonderfully. It supports me over fences, and is very comfortable on the flat.
Dislikes: Well, scratches don't oil away very easily, but that's typical. Also, it takes a few oilings to really break in. I also don't feel that supported once fences start getting above 3'6".
Quality: The quality is great. I was skeptic about buying an Argentinian saddle but I'm absolutely glad i did. The leather is soft and supple, and it cushions you. The stitching is very nice also.
Summary: I love this saddle. It is the perfect hunter saddle. I wouldn't recommend in for jumpers, but any sort of hunters will do. There are even Jr. versions for smaller riders. I could not recommend this saddle any more.
