Purchase: This saddle came with the horse I recently purchased. I believe New it costs about 900 euros
Likes: The euqui-suede is soft and very comfertable. It is ideal for people who do not like cleaning tack. Also the price is very affordable.
Dislikes: I am not too convinced about the seat- I absoultly hate riding with the knee-rolls in, especially the big ones. Somehow it gives a very "forced" position. The seat is also a bit too deep for me and to high infront.
Without the knee rolls I find the saddle more comfertable.
I find it hard to fit on some horses- I prefere wool flocked saddles, and I am not to convinced about the gullet change system as I have seen lots of saddles where the screw loosens and the gullet moves and pinches into the horses withers.
Quality: The quality is reasonable- especially considerinng the price. However with heavy use the equi-suede wears down quite fast.
Summary: Good "first" dressage saddle, good price and low maintance- but do not expect it to last more then a few years- especially with heavy use. I would personoally not buy one, and would advice anyone to consider investing in a real leather saddle instead of buying a wintec- but then thats just my personal preferrence. The good thing about wintec is that they are cheap so they make a good second saddle- ie. if you are into drssage invest in a good quality dressage saddle, and then buy a wintec jumping saddle for the occasional jumping session.
