Purchase: I bought these boots at Tractor Supply in October 2007 for around $75.00. This is my third pair of these boots for trail and endurance riding.
Likes: Absolutely comfortable. They are tie boots as opposed to zip and have a great sole for running along the trail with your horse, especially on the downhills. The boot is cut low enough to allow complete ankle rotation while riding/running.
Dislikes: My only complaint about them is that after about 4 months of wear, i.e., riding and barn work in both wet and dry weather, my last two pair have begun to crack at the top inside of both shoes, near the bend of the toes. I have tried to keep them coated with saddle soap in an attempt to keep the leather soft enough not to crack, but it has happened anyway.
Quality: They have upper leathers and hard rubber soles. Very high quality.
Summary: I am now looking for an alternative riding boot. I'm not sure whether my expectations are too high. I had hoped they would last longer than 4 to 5 months without the cracking on the top.
