Manufacturer: Crest Ridge Saddlery
Model: Crest Ridge Saddlery Guffey
Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: I purchased this saddle online from their website, http://crestridgesaddlery.com/ after looking for an old timer saddle for a long time that would fit my horse. I paid about $850.00 with shipping.
Likes: This saddle is an "old timer" style A-Fork, a Deep Seat with a 5.5 inch High Cantle. Centered seat and EXTREMELY secure. Sold as a Gaited Saddle, it also works very well on Quarther horses and Appaloosas that I have.
Dislikes: Nothing really, I love this saddle and so do my horses!
Quality: 7/8 Hanging Dee on the front, and Drop Rigging on the back. A real Sheepskin Lining. Weighs 30 lbs. LOTS of rings, all hardware stainless steel and GREAT quality leather.
Summary: VERY well made saddle, I think this compamy is missing the boat by only targeting the Gaited Horse population, this saddle is multi-functional for all the non-gaited breeds I have tried it on.
Usefulness Rating: 2.8 out of 5.
