Purchase: I chose to do business with Crest Ridge because of the wealth of information provided on their website, through phone calls with the owner and employees, and their quick and efficient responses to my e-mails. I have a high withered TWH, Rusty, who had developed soreness in his shoulders and withers due to an ill fitting saddle. I bought the Sentry, breast collar, and Crest Ridge 5 Star felt pad for around $1800.00. It was worth every penny!
Likes: This saddle fits my boy to a tee! It is flared in the front to allow the gaited horse better shoulder movement, and does not sit on his spine or withers. It is light weight and very comfortable for me with the supracore seat.
Dislikes: I can't think of a thing I do not like about this saddle.
Quality: This is a fine, hand crafted Amish made quality leather saddle, with hand stitched cantle, and it only weighs 22 lbs.
Summary: I would encourage anyone looking to buy a new saddle to give Crest Ridge a call. They were very patient with my many questions and have taught me a lot about saddle fitting. Rusty and I are gaitin' and a grinnin' thanks to Debra and her employees!
