Purchase: I found the saddle at the hilason website. I paid 499.99. I choose to try this saddle because I had been using my friends bob marshall and hilason assured me that they make the saddle to the same comfort and usability.
Likes: Well....if it was possible I would rate it as a 0, i liked the color! I don't think there was anything I really liked about it. I think its a great starter treeless saddle for anyone who has never seen or ridden in a treeless saddle before.
Dislikes: It was very stiff, it only fit my horse when I cinched the girth as tight as I possibly could and even then the back skirt still looked like wings coming off the horse. The seat was not bendable at all. felt like sitting on drywall. the company is nice but not honest. when I tracked the package when I sent it back the lady at Fed Ex told me it was dropped off at the house on the 22nd. I was confused and said "o no, Hilason is a company not a house" she laughed and said well honey ITS RUN OUT OF SOMEONES BASEMENT APPARTMENT!

Quality: The construction is cheap. the quality is cheap. its very stiff and very heavy. It came in as a 25 lb saddle and when I went to fed ex to send it back and they weighed it it was 37 lbs. The rigging is ok, a lot of saddles have nylon riggings but these were not secure at all. Only good for light ridding.
Summary: Well I called the company the very same day I received it to tell them I was returning it. the only have a 3 day return policy so I made sure I got out there asap to try it out. they said fine and gave me a number to enclose in the box with the saddle. I tracked the saddle to make sure it got there. it got there on the 22 and I called 29th because I hadn't seen any refund. He told me he couldn't find it I must not have sent it back. all the sudden when I presented a tracking number, he found it. today is the 1st and I still haven't received my refund. I don't like the saddle or the company, its crazy that its made it this far running out of an apartment basement!
